Descripción:
I studied biological sciences at the San Marcos National University – UNMSM – (Lima, Perú) with a major in fisheries biology. I pursued a master’s in Applied Mathematics at UNMSM. I obtained a doctoral degree in Ocean Ecology and Biogeochemistry at Oregon State University (Oregon, USA), where I investigated the population dynamics of the Pacific cod in the eastern Bering Sea using diverse statistical and mathematical techniques. After my Ph.D., I was a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Washington (Seattle, USA). I have experience developing stock assessment methods, modeling somatic growth in population dynamics models, and state-space assessment models. At AZTI, I collaborate on the assessment of tuna stocks in the North Atlantic and Indian Ocean.
