PhD in Predictive Microbiology and Consumer´s Sciences by the Basque Country University. Master degree in Marketing by Faculty of Economics and Business Studies (UPV, 2000). Manager of Sensory & Consumer Sciences Laboratory at AZTI. She has been involved in R&D&I activities and technology transfer to the food industry for 20 years. Strong experience in preparation of proposals and project manager role under H2020 and 7th Framework. Involved in projects by EIT Food, a European Knowledge and Innovation Community (KIC) connecting consumers with businesses, start-ups, researchers and students from around Europe. Experience in Sensory and Consumer Research for Product Development: sensory perception of food related to food processing techniques; food shelf-life; relationship between sensory and instrumental measurements; sensory evaluation of food formulations for specific consumer targets (obese and overweight consumers, children, elderly people, and chronic patients). She has international research experience through periods of visit in UK and Sweden, participation in EU-projects and international food and sensory organizations (European Sensory Science Society, E3S, European Association for Food Safety, and the SAFE consortium).
