María Santos is a specialist in the application of the Daily Egg Production Method. She is the responsible of the annual BIOMAN survey since 2000 reporting its results in several working documents to different ICES working groups. She participates annually since 2000 in the ICES Working Group on anchovy, sardine and Horse Mackerel WGHANSA and ICES Working Group on Acoustic and Egg Surveys for Sardine and Anchovy in ICES areas VIII and IX (WGACEGG) being currently and for three years the chairman of this WG. He has participated in more than 40 scientific papers in international SCI Journals and contributed in more than 25 national and international congresses. She was participated in 3 Scientific, Technical and Economic Committee for Fisheries (STECF) in relation with anchovy biomass assessment. She is involved in several National and international funded projects related with pelagic species.
