Jaime Pérez holds a Ph.D. in Engineering Systems Modelling from the Universidad Pontificia Comillas (2024), where he researched causal artificial intelligence, gamification and cyberbullying, to find novel research tools in the social sciences. Prior to this, he earned a Master’s degree in Telecommunication Engineering with a specialization in Machine Learning and Multimedia Data Science, and a Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunication Technologies and Services Engineering (specializing in Electronic Systems), both from Universidad Politécnica de Madrid (UPM). Since 2018, he has worked as a researcher and data scientist, leveraging artificial intelligence and data-driven methodologies to solve complex challenges across interdisciplinary domains, including energy optimization in data centers, serious games for behavioral analytics, and computational social science. His work has enabled him to formulate and solve real-world problems by selecting the most appropriate analytical methods and software tools for diverse contexts. He is passionate about science communication, artificial intelligence, and bridging technical research with societal impact.
