Last Tuesday, 28th October, 16 young students visited the headquarters of AZTI in Derio. The aim of this visit was to inspire and motivate these young students to get ideas about 2017 FIRST LEGO® League (FLL) challenge. (HYDRO DYNAMICSSM).The FLL is a worldwide competition for primary and secondary students (10 to 16 years old), organized by the FIRST LEGO Education organization, which focuses every year on a topic of science or technology.

Within this framework, AZTI’s technicians gave to these young students a general overview of LIFE VERTALIM project as an example of how science and technology can help to reduce the environmental impact caused by canning industry’s effluents.
Finally, the youngsters visited AZTI installations to understand better some technologies used to reduce water consumption and for wastewater treatment.
