A space to explore the relationship between food and health

NutriHealth Corner is a facility designed and developed by AZTI to assess nutritional and health biomarkers, study individual responses to diet, and generate scientific evidence to support more personalised nutritional interventions.

It combines dedicated spaces for welcoming and assessing volunteers with technologies for molecular analysis and physiological measurement. These capabilities will complement AZTI’s existing omics technologies, providing a more comprehensive picture of each person’s nutritional and metabolic status.

• Nuclear magnetic resonance technology to analyse metabolites and study the transformation of compounds related to food and health.

• Molecular and genomic analysis equipment to study the microbiome and other biomarkers associated with nutrition, metabolism and healthy ageing.
