Cross-border entrepreneurship and open innovation programme in AGRO-AGRI FOOD TECH
The agri-food sector is strategic for the Nouvelle-Aquitaine–Basque Country–Navarre Euroregion, where innovation, entrepreneurship and cross-border cooperation are key to strengthening competitiveness and creating new business opportunities.
In this context, FoodTech start-ups need access to specialised knowledge, opportunities to test their solutions against real market needs, and connections with companies and other stakeholders across the three territories to support their growth.
INKUBA SAREA 2 builds on the first edition of the programme and strengthens its cross-border approach. Led by AGOUR, AZTI and CEIN, the project brings together scientific and technological expertise, business experience, and incubation and acceleration capabilities to support start-ups from Nouvelle-Aquitaine, the Basque Country and Navarre.
INKUBA SAREA 2 aims to promote FoodTech entrepreneurship and innovation across the Euroregion, supporting the development, validation and cross-border expansion of new business ventures.
To achieve this, the project will identify the needs and opportunities of the agri-food sector across the three territories and select start-ups with growth potential. The programme will provide training and specialised support through a Bootcamp and a cross-border immersion programme, while also facilitating direct connections with companies to test value propositions, validate solutions and accelerate commercial development.
The most promising ventures may also benefit from six months of free incubation, with support tailored to their consolidation and growth needs.
INKUBA SAREA 2 aims to help consolidate a cross-border agri-food entrepreneurship ecosystem, fostering collaboration between start-ups, companies, technology centres and institutions in Nouvelle-Aquitaine, the Basque Country and Navarre.
Connections with companies will enable start-ups to validate their solutions in real-world settings, identify opportunities for collaboration and co-creation, and improve access to neighbouring markets. At the same time, the complementary expertise of AGOUR, AZTI and CEIN will provide support ranging from technological validation and prototyping to incubation, acceleration and business development.
In this way, the project seeks to strengthen cooperation between the three territories and improve the competitiveness and sustainability of the Euroregion’s agri-food ecosystem.
