Water bodies in Europe: Integrative Systems to assess Ecological status and Recovery

TerritoryEuropean
Funder:European Union
Duration2009-2013
StatusCompleted

Objective

The WISER Project will develop tools to assess the situation of lakes, coastal and transitional waters and will evaluate the recovery processes of rivers, lakes, coastal and transitional waters.

WISER aims to develop assessment methods for groups of organisms (fish, invertebrates and aquatic flora) and types of ecosystems (lakes, coastal and transitional waters) for which there are currently not enough methods.
