Kaindar – Renewable charging station with cold ironing technology for electric boats

What is it?

Kaindar is a prototype charging station for electric vessels that integrates renewable energy technologies and intelligent energy management systems (smart grid). It enables ships to connect to the port’s electricity network while berthed, avoiding the use of auxiliary engines and therefore reducing fossil fuel consumption.

How does it work?
