What we do and how we do it

• AZTI takes part in international forums (ICES, ICCAT, IOTC, IATTC, FAO) and advises governments and public authorities on the implementation of the Common Fisheries Policy and other regulatory frameworks.
• We produce technical reports, impact assessments, and recommendations based on bioeconomic models and ecosystem-based evaluations.
• In addition, we facilitate dialogue between science, public authorities, and the fishing sector, ensuring that management measures are feasible and aligned with sustainability objectives.
