Maintenance service for coastal and offshore measurement installations

Problem addressed

The reliability of marine data depends on the operational status of infrastructures such as buoys, tide gauges, HF radars, and coastal stations. Without specialised maintenance, time series are interrupted, the ability to anticipate extreme events is reduced, and critical information for maritime safety, emergency management, and scientific research is lost.

What we do and how we do it

• We are responsible for maintaining the Basque ocean–meteorological observation network, EUSKOOS, under an agreement with the Directorate for Emergency Attention and Meteorology (DAEM) of the Basque Government.
• We carry out preventive and corrective maintenance operations on oceanographic buoys, tide gauges, HF radars, and coastal stations.
• We perform sensor calibration and equipment verification to ensure measurement accuracy and data quality.
• We deploy specialised logistics for both offshore and coastal operations, applying proven safety and efficiency protocols.
• We ensure data integration into the EUSKOOS network and its transfer to European platforms such as the Copernicus Marine Service and EMODnet.
