Problem addressed

Markets and society increasingly demand products with clear sustainability guarantees. Without recognised certifications or verifiable standards, fisheries risk losing access to key markets and becoming less competitive than other certified fleets.

What we do and how we do it

• We support fleets, fishermen’s guilds, and public authorities throughout the certification process, from the initial assessment to the implementation of the improvements required to meet the criteria of international labels (e.g. MSC, European ecolabels).
• We apply multicriteria analysis methodologies, collect socio-economic and environmental data, and produce technical reports that serve as a basis for external audits.
• In addition, we provide advisory services for the development of proprietary ecolabels and communication strategies to help differentiate seafood products in the marketplace.
