We carry out studies on coastal dynamics and beach morphological evolution, combining observation, modelling and remote sensing techniques. This approach allows us to assess coastal responses to storm events, changes in sediment availability and human interventions.
Beaches and coastal systems are highly dynamic and vulnerable to erosion, sea level rise and anthropogenic pressure. Without a detailed understanding of their behaviour, it is difficult to design effective management strategies, coastal defence works or climate change adaptation measures.
