AZTI Summer School 2026 offers hands-on training on Tikta, a free software developed within the framework of the European Horizon Europe project GES4SEAS. Tikta is designed to support cumulative pressure risk assessment on marine ecosystems and the evaluation of environmental status, in line with European policies and directives such as the Marine Strategy Framework Directive (MSFD).

The course is structured over three days and will feature contributions from scientists involved in the GES4SEAS project, who will share their expertise and practical experience.

AZTI Summer School 2026 is aimed at researchers (both early-career and senior), as well as managers, consultants, and policy-makers. Participants will acquire the skills needed to apply Tikta to assess risks arising from multiple pressures in the marine environment and to evaluate environmental status in accordance with MSFD guidelines.

There is no registration fee.
The maximum number of participants is limited to 30.
Applicants are required to submit a motivation letter including a brief CV at the time of registration.
Selected applicants will be notified no later than 15 March.
