Accessibility: Better access for everyone
Accessibility means ensuring access to information and digital services without limitation or discrimination based on age, disability, or any other personal or social circumstance.
Many people access our website’s information from diverse contexts: they may have hearing, vision, or mobility difficulties; reading or comprehension challenges; may be unable to use a keyboard or mouse; or may browse using screen readers, text-only devices, small screens, or slow connections.
Accessibility benefits not only people with disabilities but improves universal access to the web. For this reason, AZTI actively works to guarantee inclusive digital access and follows the accessibility guidelines below:
- Compliance with the WCAG 2.1 (Web Content Accessibility Guidelines) under the WAI (Web Accessibility Initiative) framework, at least at AA level and partially AAA, as established by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) and in accordance with Royal Decree 1112/2018, of 7 September, on accessibility of public sector websites and mobile applications.
- Periodic verification of compliance through automated and manual evaluations, such as the Web Accessibility Test (TAW) tool.
- Commitment to continuous improvement, progressively integrating universal design and accessibility criteria into new website content and functionalities.
Scope of our accessibility policy
Although we strive to meet the established standards, some content or applications may not yet achieve the desired level of accessibility due to technical limitations or third-party content.
We are continuously implementing updates and improvements to ensure the best possible experience for all users.
