Summary: The VII International Conference on Climate and Coastal Change (Uhinak), co-organised by AZTI and Ficoba, brings together scientific, technical and policy contributions addressing the impacts of climate change on coastal and marine environments. This volume compiles the extended abstracts presented at the conference, providing an overview of the latest research, experiences and management approaches related to climate adaptation, coastal resilience and ocean change.

Uhinak is a multidisciplinary forum where researchers, public administrations, coastal managers, practitioners and other stakeholders exchange knowledge on current and emerging challenges affecting coastal areas. The contributions included in these proceedings are organised around the conference’s main themes: Challenges of climate change; Coastal and ocean climate change mitigation; Coastal risks and extreme events; Governance, management tools and communication.

The collection reflects the diversity of perspectives and disciplines required to better understand climate-related impacts on coastal territories and to support effective adaptation and decision-making processes. Together, these contributions provide valuable scientific and technical knowledge for advancing coastal resilience and promoting sustainable management strategies in the context of a changing climate.
