Didier Gascuel develops its work in the following areas: i) population dynamics and management of resources, ii) Ecosystem approach to fisheries; iii) Assessment and management of stocks. He has been involved frequently as expert in different Working Groups for stock assessment and management in western Africa (Mauritania, Senegal and Guinea) and in Madgascar. He also participates in the Scientific Committees of Research Institutions of Mauritania (IMROP) and Guinea (CNSHB).
