class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>Although several studies have highlighted the\u00a0<b>potential of genetic methods for improving fisheries management<\/b>\u00a0and some real cases where genetics has been\u00a0<b>directly applied to management<\/b>\u00a0exist, the inclusion of genetic information in the International Council for the Exploration of the Sea (ICES) assessment process is not straight forward. Here, the emphasis will be on developing strategies to produce\u00a0<b>management relevant information that can be directly integrated into the fisheries assessment process.<\/b><\/p><p><span style=\"color: #3fbcce;\"><b>Hypothesis<\/b><\/span><\/p><p>Thus, our\u00a0<u><b>underlying hypothesis<\/b><\/u>\u00a0is that\u00a0<b>genomics can provide relevant information to inform fisheries assessment\u00a0<\/b>so that more accurate short term management actions and long-term predictions can be
