The best twenty teams will be selected by jury and invited for Foodhaton in Poland. The costs of the travel and hotels for 20 teams will be reimbursed – max. 1000 euro for a team, but health insurance is required for cross-country mobility from every team member individually.
The 2-days events will start with presentations about the challenges and inspiring ideas. The work of students will be combined with leisure activities (gastronomy, food- related and inspiring visits organized by EIT Food partners), which can help to get to know each other better. It will be a perfect occasion for an international networking with professors, speakers, experts from food industry, EIT Food representatives and students from foreign universities.
On the second day, each group will pitch their solutions to a panel of judges and they will select the winning team. The participants of Foodhatons will get information about the other EIT Food activities such as: incubator programs, bootcamps, trainings, workshops as well as grants in companies interested in the implementation of proposed solution students and a brief description about PhD and post docs offers in Poland, Spain and Italy.
