The people at AZTI are our main asset to achieve the goals that we have set. AZTI is committed to the people in the organisation and in the growth of its human team, which is a reflection of its strength. In 2005 AZTI had an average staff of 160 people, in 2016 it has grown to 234 staff members.

I am graduated in Food Science and Technology, with a Master degree in Food Quality and Safety. I worked for a year in Angulas Aguinaga Burgos as a food quality technician and at the moment I am a PhD student in Azti´s food quality, safety and identity area.

Laboratory Technician AZTI - Observation and Data SystemsOperational Oceanography

Higher Technician in Telecommunications and Computer Systems. Since 2010, he works in the Observation and Data Systems area of the Marine Research Division at AZTI.

He is specialist in deployment, software development and supervision of oceanographic and meteorological data buoys and coastal stations for the Basque Meteorology Agency (EUSKALMET), as well as of coastal video-monitoring stations for KOSTASystem project. Also, he is specialist in acquisition and processing of multi-beam bathymetric data, having worked in surveys for MESH-Atlantic project, among other research and consultancy projects.
