Since 2005, he works in the Observation and Data Systems area of the Marine Research Division at AZTI.

He is an experienced technician in the installation, operation and maintenance of metocean networks (deep-water buoys, coastal stations and HF radars) for the Basque Meteorology Agency (EUSKALMET). Hydrographic and geophysics surveyor. Basque Continental Shelf mapping (1.000 km2) and Basque Country Harbors depth management since 2006. MBES installation, calibration, operation, maintenance and data processing. He has experience processing and interpreting geophysics data.

Laboratory technician specialised in marine aquaculture and professional diver with over 10 years experience in fish farms and floating cages. Experience in cod, salmon and sole fattening projects, testing plant-based diets in the latter. Extensive experience in maintenance and fattening tasks in mussel and oyster offshore longliners. Experience in oceanographic campaigns and biological sample processing.

Civil Engineer by the Polytechnic University of Catalonia. Disciplines: Hydraulic and Energy Engineering; Ports and Ocean Engineering. 18-years experience in marine research. Since 1997 he works in AZTI in marine dynamics, numerical modeling (transport, currents, waves and tides) and data series.

Higher Technician in Telecommunications and Computer Systems. Since 2010, he works in the Observation and Data Systems area of the Marine Research Division at AZTI.

He is specialist in deployment, software development and supervision of oceanographic and meteorological data buoys and coastal stations for the Basque Meteorology Agency (EUSKALMET), as well as of coastal video-monitoring stations for KOSTASystem project. Also, he is specialist in acquisition and processing of multi-beam bathymetric data, having worked in surveys for MESH-Atlantic project, among other research and consultancy projects.
