Training:
The post-doc is expected to be trained in a
high level in morphodynamic modeling and to
also gain an integrated and balanced view on
the issue of marine aggregate mining. He/she
will be trained by:
- Taking part in on-going relevant research
within the participant institutes
- Following specialized post-graduate courses
taught in the university of Twente
- Following specialized courses in other Network
institutes
- Attending a multi-disciplinary course, which
will cover all aspects of the project
- Taking part in the common field work project
- Short visits and secondments to other research
institutes, industrial concerns and regulatory
bodies, and attending relevant specialized conferences/workshop
outside the Network
Contribution to EUMARSAND:
- Modeling of the natural dynamics of sandbanks
- Modeling of the impact of dredging on sandbanks
dynamics
- Provide some basic knowledge on modeling to
the other partners
- Modeling biologic influences on morphology.
