A multidisciplinary specialist team
The people who make up AZTI-Tecnalia are its biggest asset to attain the goals we have set for ourselves. AZTI-Tecnalia believes in its people and in the growth of their personnel as a reflection of their strength: in 2002, AZTI-Tecnalia consisted of an average staff of 111 people; in 2010 they boast a total of more than 220 workers.
The AZTI-Tecnalia workforce is comprised of a multidisciplinary team of professionals and is organised into two research units: Marine Research and Food Research, assisted by the Conformity evaluation (Analysis and Tests) and the sampling Area.
The organization’s corporate section is comprised of: General Management, Administrative and Financial Management, Personal Development Management, Marketing Management, Communications and Commerce, and Quality Control.
The AZTI Foundation Patronage is formed by representatives of the fishing industry’s businesses and institutions, marine food and environmental representatives and the Basque Government.

TECNALIA is a Technological Corporation formed by AZTI, European Software Institute (ESI), Inasmet, Labein, Robotiker, Neiker, Fatronik and Cidemco as an adhered centre, whose aim is to contribute to the social and economic development by means of the promotion of Technological Innovation through Research development.
